you can have a map i did a long time ago, be good to mess around with in sapien. the ground and the mountains will have the wrong shader but everything else will be okay. Map never was very popular. download box1.ass at mediafire.com/getmap

It does not show up for me either (and I have ~35 maps in there, not 50).


This is why I asked what you wanted to do. You said something about vehicles and as I said; if you modify vehicles, nades and/or bipeds, or try to make new ones, the map will compile but it will not show up in the map list.

Yes, it sucks, the only way around this is to open the Shared.map file and add more vehicles there. Unfortunately, the only way to open (the H2V) shared.map file is with a HEX editor, which is far from ideal. So sad that Gravemind never made it that far.

To get an idea of the contents of the Shared.map file you can view the XBOX version with Entity:

Gravemind is a app that opens compiled maps and allows you to make some changes or at a minimum you get an idea of how someone did something (like a shader or effect).

It also extracts bitmaps.

I use it to remove the Scope and Glass from the BR to make the First Person model for my Recon Rifle, by using this technique I get perfect reload animations with that weapon.

could you give us a link

I ran the ass file I gave you through the map editer, put in a few spawn places and packaged it. it showed up for me. The problems on your end.

No, I explained, the map will not appear in the map list if it contains modified vehicles, nades or bipeds (characters).

He is, most likely, trying to make a new vehicle. Also, the pieces that exist in the shared.map file are there on purpose. That is, they do not need to be in a custom map, only referenced (kinda like a type of shortcut).
