Main Menu Mod aka MMM
Version: Public Beta 0.1
10|08|2010

THIS MOD IS NOW RUNNING ON MONSTRMOOSE H2MT CUSTOM SERVER 4,
YOU NEED THE PATCH AND MAP PACK TO JOIN!
This is the first working Public Beta of the revised Main Menu Mod.
The Main Menu Mod (or MMM) allows us to load new custom multiplayer maps
from the Default Map Menu which allows us to load custom vehicles and HUDs,
among other things. The MMM is also referred to as a patch.
The new maps are referred to as Halo 2.5 maps or H2.5. These maps must be
manually downloaded through your web browser and placed in your Default Maps
directory. That package is located here:
MMM Patch + New H2.5 maps
33.8MBs (70.6MBs extracted)
-or-
Just the MMM Patch
408KBs (904KBs extracted)
In the future we hope to add support for in-game downloading be it through Halo 2
or with the aid of an external Map Manager.
This first patch supports four new map Slots and this first Map Pack includes two
custom vehicle maps:
Slot1 - H2.5 Coag Redux

Slot2 - H2.5 Sandtrap

INSTALLATION:
1) Create a backup of your mainmenu.map that is in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\maps (the install location for Halo 2)
I suggest naming the backup as follows: mainmenu.map.ORIGINAL
2) Next open the application called Super PPF (it is 100% safe, be sure to right-click it and run it as Admin).
At the bottom where it says select map to patch locate your mainmenu.map which is here:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\maps (the install location for Halo 2)
3) Now where it says patch browse to the file Patch.sppf.
Then hit apply and you are done with patching.
4) Place the new H2.5 maps in the same folder as your patched mainmenu.map:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\maps (the install location for Halo 2)
Thats it! Now load the new maps from the Default Menu (not the custom one) by
selecting either Slot1 or Slot2.

HOSTING:
To play locally you go to your Default Map Menu and select either:
Slot1 - H2.5 Coag Redux
-or-
Slot2 - H2.5 Sandtrap
To host the H2.5 maps online the other players DO NOT require the MMM however
they do need to have the maps in their Default folder.
